AIM AND OBJECTIVE OF THE HORTICULTURE PROGRAM
Program Aim
The aim of the Horticulture program is to train technical personnel who possess sufficient knowledge and skills in the fields of horticulture and related disciplines, have a developed environmental awareness, can work in teams, have social and communication skills, can make independent decisions, and are responsible.
Program Objective
The program aims to provide students studying in the field of horticulture with theoretical and practical knowledge regarding the cultivation, preservation, breeding, and evaluation of horticultural plants, and to equip them with individual and institutional employment skills to meet the country's need for qualified personnel.
EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR HORTICULTURE GRADUATES
1. Entrepreneurship
> Production of agricultural inputs such as seeds, seedlings, saplings, etc.,
> Production of fertilizers, pesticides, seeds, beneficial insects, peat, etc.
> Garden Establishment and Maintenance
> Fruit, Vegetable, Vineyard and Ornamental Plant Cultivation
> Greenhouse Farming
> Indoor and Outdoor Ornamental Plant Production
> Mushroom Cultivation
> Contract Farming (Food Processing, Organic Farming, Good Agricultural Practices)
> Garden Product Trading (Buying, Selling, Wholesale Market, etc.)

2. Technical Consulting
> New knowledge-based developments in the production field (e.g., high-density garden establishment, pruning, training systems, integrated production in greenhouses, new ornamental plant species)
