Prospective Student

The Department of Horticulture was established in 1982 and began undergraduate education in 1983. In postgraduate education, it has graduated 250 master's and 32 doctoral students by 2024. Since 2011, the department has been reorganized into four main branches: Fruit Growing and Breeding, Viticulture and Viticulture, Vegetable Growing and Breeding, and Ornamental Plant Growing and Breeding. The Department of Horticulture trains agricultural engineers and academics who provide solutions to problems in the aforementioned fundamental cultivation areas. To provide education, training, and research services to our students, we have 70 decares of fruit orchards, 10 decares of vegetable orchards, 6 decares of vineyards, and 4 decares of greenhouses, along with 2 cold storage facilities, 2 fruit laboratories, 2 vineyard laboratories, and 1 vegetable laboratories. With its academic staff and infrastructure, our department is one of the most ambitious departments in our country in terms of education, training, and research opportunities.
